Iron Tribe Fitness Names New Brand President

BIRMINGHAM, ALA. — Iron Tribe Fitness recently named Karen Broadwater as its new brand president. Broadwater has been with the brand since its inception in 2010 and has held various roles throughout her time at Iron Tribe Fitness, including gym manager for the company’s founding location in Homewood as well as vice president of brand experience.

As president of Iron Tribe Fitness, Broadwater will help oversee the brand’s 30 franchisee locations in addition to the 5 corporate Birmingham stores. Forrest Walden,  founder and CEO of Iron Tribe Fitness, said he’s confident in Broadwater’s ability to lead the company into a strong future.

Karen has been with the Iron Tribe Fitness brand since its inception in 2010.

“It’s no secret that Karen has been integral to everything we do as a brand, and she is the perfect choice to help me continue to implement my vision for the company,” Walden said of his decision to name Broadwater as Iron Tribe’s president, which was officially announced at the brand’s annual TribeCon — an event where Iron Tribe Fitness owners and managers come together from across the country to discuss the future of the company. “I have no doubt that our best days are ahead with Karen in the role of president.”

Before Broadwater worked for the fitness brand, she was a member herself. After losing more than 60 pounds and experiencing Iron Tribe’s life-changing fitness philosophy, Broadwater was hooked. Later attending a goal-setting workshop led by Walden, Broadwater set a goal for herself; to work for Iron Tribe Fitness. Since setting that goal, Broadwater has worked in several capacities at Iron Tribe Fitness. From technology and programming to marketing and business operations, Broadwater has helped shape Iron Tribe Fitness into what it is today.

As the brand looks to grow and expand into new markets, Broadwater will play an integral role in sharing the brand’s core mission of creating fitness communities that change lives.
