Not much to tell this week, but I did my first box jumps and push jerks. I definitely felt that.
The biggest thing for me is that I did the weekend WOD. This was my first non-CF101 WOD. It took me 14:39, but I finished it (I was breathing heavy, though!).
I am trying to find good variety in pursuing a Paleo lifestyle and that’s a bit of a challenge. But I am excited and looking forward to finishing this week out strong.

As I was up with the chickens this morning doing my nine mile group run in the sleet and rain, I had time to reflect on how truly thankful I am for Crossfit and IronTribe. The Thursday and Friday workouts this week were particularly brutal for me. I really pushed my body to the limits and it was hard to get through such a long run today with terrible soreness. As I was going along and pushing through the pain, it dawned on me how running nine miles is really easier than going at it with total intensity in a tough WOD. It is all relative. That is truly amazing!
I simply can’t believe how far I have come in just seven months. When I first started crossfit, the running components in the workouts almost broke me. I am a totally different person than I was when I walked in for my first 101 class. I have never been happier or felt better in my life. For this, I am truly thankful.
Happy Holidays!

My daughters were playing in the backyard when I was doing one of Luan’s weekend WODs. About an hour later this happened…
